WORDS OF WISDOM : PART – 1 BY SUMIT BIJAKA

“Behind every successful man ,there is a woman, and behind every unsuccessful man, also there is a woman. And we all know that there are more number of unsuccessful men than the successful ones in this world.” LOL. A very famous dialogue from a movie “Pyaar ka Punchnama”. Jokes apart, have we ever thought what is this Success we are talking about? In my 17 years of student life, I never came  across a chapter called “Success” in any of the subjects in school or college. And I am pretty sure ,the same would have happened to you also. But why is it so? Why is this topic “Success” never taught in any educational institution. Based on my understanding, my personal views are that- only those things can be taught in educational institutes which are quantifiable. We can learn calculations through numbers, theorems by facts, experiments through figures etc , but am I not correct if I say that Success cannot be taught in a prescribed syllabus format.
Since my childhood ,I have  been guided by my parents in almost the same way as everyone . Study hard, get good marks, then a good job ,then a good wife, then a good life. We often hear the testimonies of our so called relatives – the Bhaiya’s,the Didi’s,the Uncle’s and these days even the Aunty’s. But did I really want to become like them? My knowledge about life was purely based on the people around me and by default it even got into my blood cells, until I joined Ebiz and realised that something was missing, infact so many things. I remember when I had become a gold associate and was about to graduate ,one of my seniors who had come for placements ,after getting to know that I had not applied for a job, tried to convince me a lot to join some company. I just asked him one question – “ Sir ,are you happy doing your job”. He replied, “Yes Sumit, its been 2 years and things are moving fine”. I asked him again “ Are you really happy Sir “ . He struggled to gather words still managing to say “ See Sumit ,this is life, you need to compromise”-this and that.
Success ,to me atleast means “ Whatever I want to do, wish to do , love to do ,I have all my freedom of thought and time to do that.” Whether it is talking to new people, making new friends, taking venue meetings, training meetings sharing my experience, writing this article , driving my car, dining with my friends, holidaying with family, shopping for them, celebrating -birthdays ,achievements, occasions , relaxing by the sea beach in Goa, or on a cruise ,or by the pool side in a 5 star , earning lots of money, spending it, saving it , investing it , playing with my nephew and his remote controlled helicopter, even facing new challenges- handling critics, anticipating problems/issues, clearing them up, protecting my group from any sort of negativities , learning from them , and finally putting all my effort to train them to become even better than me, myself.” It gives me ultimate pleasure when I am actually doing things which I really love to do . Still each one of us perceive  the meaning of Success in our own way. There is nothing wrong in doing that, as far as it is in the interest of the people around us. Ebiz will definitely help us in getting a clearer picture. I can proudly assure all of you that Ebiz will surely increase the happiness quotient in your life.
Whenever I think about National Convention, I am able to recall the stories of great leaders , wonderful human beings and amazing fighters who did not surrender to their situation, rather fought bravely to keep their dreams alive. Everyone of us should have a story to tell, a story that can inspire others , and for that we need to pay the price- that extra step, extra thought, extra dream, extra effort, extra commitment.  But on the contrary, many of us are burdened by the infamous “Luck” . During the last 8 years , I might have met thousands of people who prefer to chant this word , most of times at situations ,where actually it has no role to play. My personal belief system says that “ Luck will not work for you until you work for your luck.”  I have seen so many people keeping “ The Laughing Buddha “ in their homes and offices which they think would bring them prosperity and growth. People running after their tarot card readings, astrology, numerology, buying precious gem stones.  I think there’s no need to do that , because God has blessed us with enough potential to attract happiness in our life. We really don’t need to learn how to convince others for making them believe in our dreams, if we are able to convince ourselves for our very own dreams , that is more than enough. Even we train our leaders to become self -dependent ,so that they are strong enough to face any challenge, rather than depending on a sheer “Luck “ factor . Keeping things simple , it is rightly said, “ If it is to be . it is up to me.”
Always remember , it holds true for humans also:
“Ships are the safest in harbour , but that is not the place they are meant for.”
